John Utteridge: 1978 Land Rover 109 "reloaded"

Post by FridgeFreezer »

Thank God for disc brakes :D
Yes, Eddie the 109 has been rebuilt with a few minor tweaks... a new 4.6 Rover V8 with 3.9 injectors and 3.5 front cover & inlet hardware. Oh and a high-torque cam just to be on the safe side.

Now running MS V3 and EDIS-8.

The test drive was to Russia and back - not a beat missed.

Plans for now involve actually tuning it and maybe adding knock sensing for the poor Russian fuel next year.

Full write up will follow, for now check the test-drive at http://www.flyingspanners.net.

There are a few new parts elsewhere too - Volvo portals anyone? 8)

For those wanting to try this at home - don't leave your camera & laptop on the passenger seat
