455 Buick Regal, 900 CFM Holley Projection, Megasquirt

Car: 1987 Buick Regal T-Type
Engine: 455 Buick Stage 1
Exhaust: Headers with Megaflow 2-1/2" stainless X- crossover system
Fuel: Holley 900-CFM Projection throttle body with four 85-lb/hr injectors
Ignition: GM HEI ignition system with Pertronix coil & stock GM ignition module
Megasquirt: MS 1 and V2.2 circuit board, fuel control only

Problems: Tach signal noise was the main tuning issue. The problem was the Pertronix ignition module that introduced huge noise into the tach signal. The stock GM ignition module smoothed the noise to low acceptable levels.
