1986 T3 (vanagon) syncro, VW 9A engine (2 liter 16 valve)
The engine is a stock 2 liter 16 valver apart from the ABF (Golf 3 GTI) header.
-MS is V3 with extra code
-36-1 trigger
-Ford coil pack running waste spark
-Custom fuel rail
-4 bar FPR from 20 valve turbo Passat
-Bosch EFI fuel pump (good old style)
Engine convertion is not finished yet, but I have made the hard parts: Adapter plate and the flywheel to fit the engine to the waterboxer gearbox.
Today I started the engine for the first time on the bench, and I am surprised how easy was it with just setting crancking pulse widths and altering the req-fuel value!
I haven't tuned it yet, fuel and spark maps were basicly set by Philip R. whom I bought the MS.

The engine conversion involves these custom parts I have fabricated:
-adapter plate to mount inline4 engine to T3 boxer transmission
-flywheel which allows to use stock 228mm boxer clutch and starter
-engine mounts
-exhaust
-cooling pipes
-accelerator cable
-engine cover (hood)
I am now using Chad's VE table, which I have reset to my req.fuel value, ofcourse it needs to be tuned further for my engine, but works for now.
I have set the spark map using the map given in the manual of the engine.
Here is a picture of the engine in the bus, and a picture to remind what the boxy T3 looks like

I have tuned my fuel map with a wide band sensor, it is quiet good which gives 12.5 afr at full load, however an ABF engine may need more fuel at top end as it has more agressive cams and also more power..
The spark map I have written is mostly likely the stock of the engine, from the bentley manual.
Thanks for interest.
Looking forward to see the details of your setup.
