Volvo LT1 megasquirt help

Hey guys,
I am thinking about going the way of Megasquirt and just looing for some help and advice.
I am running a 96 Pontiac Firebird LT1 in a 85 volvo 780 bertone for drifting:) The motor is slightly upgraded, light motor work to internal.
I am now running the LT1 ECU basically stock and wanted to go megasquirt for a way of tuning the car, as well as giving me a better way of managing the car.
BASICALLY interested in what I need to know important for doing this swap to the Megasquirt?
I understand that it is a LARGE job, my buddy did one a few years back, but I am asking in ways of different sensors etc that I need in order to run a megasquirt?
Also, what is the best way to go about it?? MS II or III??
Do I need a stimulator etc???
Thanks for the help!
