Mercedes 300CE-24v MS1 v3,0
Mercedes engines has allways been very high performans parts with very high quality and it make me cry why they choose K-jet for so long time!
If you realy love your car and stil have a K-jet, make very big differnce for your engine character and prosperous and it doesn not take many days to fix it if you have a good support.
Last week example:
Mercedes benz 300CE-24.
Standalone system instaling.
Megasquirt MS1-extra with stock dizzy ignition this time.
Parts we need:
Megasquirt ECU configuring for VR sensor and Distributor ignition.
(can even choose wasted spark and coil on plug)
Harness
2pcs relay
Fuel rail
Fuel fittings
Fuel regulator
6 of 250cc injectors
triggewheel 36-1
VR sensor
vr sensor fitting
TPS sensor
CLT sensor
IAT sensor
Air filter
Simple ignition coil (mercedes coil is too low ohm for the ecu)
We start to replace the stock damper to triggerwheel 36-1 and fit the VR sensor
Then its time to take some hand with K-jet...yeah ..
gone....
Making the fuelrail

300CE-24v
Time to take some things away
Some new stuff
This time we use different trigger by making 3 holes with M6 thread in the crankdamper och use 3 bolt as a triggerteeth. 120 degree between each bolt
4mm high aluminum distans and 4mm bolthead makes 8mm triggerpoints.
Hall sensor and bolton fitting

yes you have absolutly right!shisamo wrote:Hi, Can I ask one question about the car that you using the 3 screw for the trigger ?

I use just some cheap coil that we have in sweden from the BILTEMA store and it works just fine.
It even works fine with a stock coil without overheating with lower dwell but I wanna be on the safe side and use normal biltema coil. It cost only 40 $
By the way I change the triggerwheel too becaurse I got many bolt on triggerwheel for both M103 and M104 engines so it feels better with a real triggerwheel then 3 bolts:)
Re: Mercedes 300CE-24v MS1 v3,0
But one thing I still cant figure it out. It is the rpm tachometer problem. Some people said connect the OEM tachometer directly to the coil. Some people said connect it to the MS ECU. Could you mind tell me which is the to do ?
Thanks alot

if you run only 1 spark output and 1 coil then you just use minus on the coil to the signal.
If you use stock coil then you should have resistor on the signal pin about 1-1,5 ohm becaurse stock RPM gauge is prestty sensitive for low ohm
