... Quite pleased with the reservoir which worked out to 1 usg (4 liters) capacity. Sort of a "where is Waldo" type item in blending with the original look (hidden within rear seat).

So, out of curiosity, how long before you think you have to refill the tank...yep I know it depends what you are doing and you said 120ml/min, so that into 4l, is about 33 minutes at full chat!

With the reservoir, I guess the distance traveled between fills will be learned in actual driving. But based on the initiation point of 3-4psi manifold pressure for injection to commence, and that I draw on those higher power levels more for road conditions and passing rather than "rocket displays" ( ) , I believe there should be no problem co ordinating fill ups with stops for fuel, perhaps even better.

I'm rather pleased with the Extra 3.1 download, I was able to transfer over most settings, and have done some work with the 16 x 16 VE table to gravitate more to the area's I'll be residing in while running the bike, hence some decel zones, etc. have been reduced. .

I'm rather pleased with the Extra 3.1 download...

I was an early adopter using the MSExtra 3.0.3 versions and there were a few bugs along the way. I never got my 3.1 to transition nicely when I did a firmware upgrade, in fact the engine was worse on warm up and getting to a stable idle, but I need to revisit this in a more controlled fashion to find the cause. The MSExtra code is definitely different to the B&G 2.890 stuff I was using when I first started. I'd be interested to see how the new 3.7xx B&G stuff works when the next MicroSquirt comes along, but on the Thunderace it's irrevelant, because I can't use it as I don't have a suitable trigger.

I can see the response now, at the next BMW rally - staunch die hard purist's will view my work with distain (and of course, eat my rubber as I burn dust past them in Chevy Chase fashion)

Yep, I have seen this too, the "originistas" never want to spend money on improving their car or bike, they live in a time warp and sneer at unoriginality. They always find a reason not to do it too, and reek of negativity.

I'm looking for ideas (I have several, but have tended to give creed to "Pigs in Space" technology at times) on control of my water injection, but rather than launching into it here, I'll post over on MS, down on the Extra forum.

I dug this link up for you, should be helpful, if you're thinking along the same lines. Probably better if you didn't.
