Engine: 1995 Volvo 940 GL (b230f, 9.8:1 compression). Stock t3 turbo, 15psi, 190 rwhp & 290 rwtq. Stock intercooler, piping, and downpipe

Injection: Ms & s (first volvo to use ms n s ) 550cc cfi injectors

Ignition: Stock bosch components controlled by the ms

Notes & other info: Car started right up (and then died ahahah) with the basic stuff, and tuning fun from there.
Best time to date at the 1/4: 14.05@97.6mph, 9.0@80 1/8th

Added another one to the stables, my 1990 740 GL

Cranked and ran on the first serious try, only to encounter a bizzarilly messed up distributor (soon's it warmed up it stopped working).

Fixed that, car runs and drives great, Ms&s right now, ms&s-e soon, and it'll be turboized in short order as well.

I'm using the factory volvo air and coolant temp sensors, and an 850 tps, techedge 2a0 wideband to keep tabs on the sturm und drach, and 2nd gen rx-7 NA injectors (460cc i think? high z).

Dynoed the 90, 230whp at 10psi, here's the setup:

ported volvo 531 cylinder head
IPD turbo cam
ported 90+ exhaust manifold
rx-7 460 cc injectors
NPR big intercooler
Richmond Gear Locker
borg-warner world class t5
Spec stg3/4 hybrid clutch good to ~400 ft/lbs
blaster 2 coil and 8.5 wires
mostly stock exhaust (2.25 )
t3/t4 hybrid.. stage 2 turbine wheel and a t04e-50 compressor

at 17psi (on pump) at the dragstrip it destroyed the rear subframe and twisted the axle off at the differential

So after my intake valves decided to clearance themselves with the tops of the pistons, I've thought out my options and installed a 16v motor...

b234f 16v head
late model b230 bottom end
custom machined turbo pistons

put it in the car earlier this week, cranked and drove it around a little tonight... man the maps are going to be different from the 8v to the 16v

Finished the turbo setup for the 16v in early august, just in time for the annual regional turbobricks meet, car posted a best time at the dragstrip of 13.65@107.6, the comicly high ET vs the trap speed is directly related to me having no desire to break anything.
First dyno pull at 7 psi netted me this:


and then with the injectors railing out at 135% this was given to me:



setup is:
9.0:1 compression ratio
stock cams
factory internals
custom turbo manifold
npr intercooler
garrett t3/t04e-50 trim in a .60 housing, .63 ar turbine housing with a stage 5 turbine wheel. I get full boost in 2nd thro 4th by 3500 and under 3k in 5th
